(...) with a stamped cardboard cover.  Across the years age took its toll and the cover deteriorated and fell apart.  The pages have yellowed and become soft, but the memories have remained crisp and supple.  I have bibles that are in excellent condition but this one with the presentation inscription to me from my mother, dated July 2, 1954, well, it is irreplaceable.  It is not an easy thing to entrust something that has such deep meaning to a stranger to perform surgery and alterations on.  After a long search I contacted Leonard's Book Restoration and began a dialog to determine if they were competent and trustworthy.  I set down a few specifics in our correspondence and gave them some background information to emphasize the importance of the book to me.  I even sent them a picture of my mother to inspire them as they repaired her precious gift.  The staff at Leonard's met and exceeded my expectations and instructions.  They treated my bible as something important to them as well as me.  Their work is beautiful, and if the pages were not showing some age, it would be impossible to realize it was a repair and not a book right from the publishers.  I will always be grateful to the people at Leonard's, and especially Margie, with whom I conducted most of my correspondence;  she has not only proven to be a very trustworthy contact, she has also become one whom I consider a friend.  The staff at Leonard's Book Restoration not only returned my bible as a beautiful, professionally repaired book, they even took time to pray for me.  Who could ask for more?

I just received those Bibles today, 10/14/2016, after a detour through Leesburg Georgia, due to a label from another package that stuck to mine during the sorting process in Indianapolis. Needless to say, they are handsomely rebound and I am pleased beyond my own expectations. Even though it is the budget menu binder's choice surplus leather, the quality of the work is the same as their signature styles.

In addition, the assistance, understanding and professionalism displayed by Eric and family in finding the wayward package, even though the label mishap was no fault of their efficient operations, is a testament to believing Biblical principles. While they could have responded with doubt, contempt or disdain, they dutifully responded to all of my emails, filed a missing mail claim, and offered a refund if the package was not found. In a society that seems to lose its values more and more each day, it is refreshing to know that people like Eric, Margie and family are providing a quality service based on the Love of God and Neighbor. I will be praying for your continued success in business and in life.

(...) firm or stiff but it immediately starts to soften up every time I pick it up. It has a wonderful, distinct grain to it and combined with a soft, buttery feel and super pliability, there is nothing like it; and veggie dyed too! I like to pick it up sometimes just to feel the leather! Anyway, Leonard's service is friendly and responsive and my husband and I started digging out our older Bibles (we are Bible junkies) that we can send off to Leonard's to restore. Their leathers are so beautiful, I have people asking me where did I get a Bible with that kind of leather and I tell them about Leonard's!

(...) about the cords in spine, and they look fantastic, and I actually PREFER them, again exceeding my expectations.
I was concerned about the imprinting, and it too exceeded my expectations.
I was concerned about the binding quality, and it exceeded my expectations.
I was concerned about the edging appearance, and the bordering and styling exceeded my expectations- a LOT!
I was MOST concerned about the “stiffness” of the kangaroo leather that you warned me about for such a thin Bible, and feared I might need both hands to pry it open! The leather is so supple I can hardly believe it! In fact, I would not WANT it any softer! It lays open by itself effortlessly. This so far exceeded what I was expecting that I’m speechless.
Wow! I’m still having a hard time believing how awesome it is!
I’ll admit, after the first few moments of taking it all in, I cried like a baby! I can’t tell you how much my Bible means to me… not the material itself, but the life-transforming effect of what’s inside, and now the cover is a closer match of externally reflecting the priceless contents within.
Thank you SO much! I was a bit concerned about the cost of a kangaroo leather binding, but now am SO GLAD I made this choice and used your services.
